Today we started to learn about Flash MX, Paul did a simple introduction into Flash. We learned how to draw buttons in Adobe Illustrator and then copy and paste them into Flash.
We also was told on how to save Flash files:
.fla (Flash files)
.swf (Shift files)
After we was then introduced into the button operations, for example how to link the buttons to pages and add sounds and effect to them. We added sounds to the buttons, so when the user would put the mouse cursor over it then it would make a sound telling them that they were over that button. We also learned how to make the button change colour when the cursor was over it and when the user had clicked on it.

What is Rich Media?
Multimedia is media and content that utilizes a combination of different content forms. The term is used in contrast to media which only utilize traditional forms of printed or hand-produced material. Multimedia includes a combination of text, audio, still images, animation, video and interactivity content forms.
Multimedia is usually recorded and played, displayed or accessed by information content processing devices, such as computerized and electronic devices, but can also be part of a live performance. Multimedia also describes electronic media devices used to store and experince multimedia content. Multimedia is similar to traditional mixed media in fine art, but with a broader scope. the term "Rich Media" is synonymous for interactive multimedia. Hypermedia can be considered one particular multimedia application.
