Stopmotion Tests
Today we was given the chance to test our sklls at stopmotion, we split into groups and was told to produce a simple stopmotion animation. Our group decrided that we would use a group of people going up and down a set of stairs, we set the camera at the bottom of the stairs and we started at the top and moved down closer to the camera every four frames taken, until we was right on top of the camera itself.
This test showed us how to use stopmotion and the camera equipment with the Mac, i feel that this test was every successful and that i might consider using stopmotion for my final peice of work.

Idea One
I have had an idea of what to do for my rich media project:
I plan to use a program called Google Sketchup to build a tree out of boxes and then use Flash to have the tree disasemble one box at a time. Then i plan for the to finish the short film with a single box left on the screen, which will be open and then the picture jumps into the box and then see the box close from the inside. This will be a short film of no more than about five or so minutes, this short film will have no backing sound other then the classical song by Pachelbel Canon in D major, this song will flow with the film and will last as long has the film.

Introduction to Flash MX
Wednesday, 6 May 2009
Today we started to learn about Flash MX, Paul did a simple introduction into Flash. We learned how to draw buttons in Adobe Illustrator and then copy and paste them into Flash.
We also was told on how to save Flash files:
.fla (Flash files)
.swf (Shift files)
After we was then introduced into the button operations, for example how to link the buttons to pages and add sounds and effect to them. We added sounds to the buttons, so when the user would put the mouse cursor over it then it would make a sound telling them that they were over that button. We also learned how to make the button change colour when the cursor was over it and when the user had clicked on it.

Film: Koyaanisqati – Life out of Balance
Thursday, 30 April 2009
This film was produced by Francis Ford Coppola, during the late 70's or early 80's, it is on the life of the earth, the daily events that take plave on earth. The film shows sped up traffic, people walking through the streets of New York and day going to night. The film is backed with dramatic music that adds to the effect of the film. The producer use's the music to his advantage, for example when the music is slow and soft he has the film go to the sun raising up over the city, but when it comes to a scene of busy traffic on a motorway, he use's the dramatic and fast placed bits in the music to make the affect of the fact that the city is manic and flowing. The film shows the chaos of modern life and how we has humans see the world.
